Forescore- Match Stage 9

For the first time in the league this season, two players shared the honours of topping the match day table. We also reviewed the other news in the Bedford Lions Premier League.

Sharing The Spoils

Param Basi had been top of the table for most of the season so far until a little blip, saw him knocked off for a few weeks. His score of 70 last week saw him return to the top and he stayed there by topping the match day table despite scoring less then previous week (54). He got there thanks to predicting the correct scores in the first two games of the Premier League. Both finishing 2-1 with Leeds United and Newcastle United beating West Ham United and Fulham respectively. It didn’t go all his way in this match stage though as he got an incorrect joker as Chelsea lost 2-1 at home to Sunderland.

It also meant he had to share the top spot this week on the match day table, with myself also scoring 54 points. I also correctly predicted 2-1 win for Newcastle United and scored 16 points on my joker as Arsenal beat Crystal Palace 1-0.

This has put me into the top 4 with 449 points overall and hoping to continue my drive towards the top!

Cementing At The Top

Param’s 54 points has seen him with 495 points overall and increase his lead at the top a little, by 7 points ahead of James. Not the best week for Luke Frost however, who only scored 37 points this week. He has 462 points, falling further behind at the top, whilst seeing myself closing in on him.

Also a bad week for Jack (jackutv). Scoring just 22 points and dropping out of the top 4 with 434 points in total.

A full league table is below.

As predicted last week, this was tricky and not many high scoring players at all. Now we move on to Match Stage 10 and many hoping for better fortunes this time around.
