In the Bedford Lions and Lionesses League, we take a look at the team who was the 2nd one this season to hit a century in a gameweek plus a look at the other events at the top of the table including the first team to go past 1,000 points. Bet you can’t guess who it is?!

Boost To Century

There always a lot of excitement of to see which team has performed the best although going past 100 points in the week, has been rare. This is only the 2nd time it has happened this season and this time it’s Troy Downes’s team Stranger Mings who scored 110 points this week. Troy scored 52 points alone from his 3 Manchester City players. His captain Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, scored twice (26 points) in their 3-0 win at Crystal Palace. He also had the other goalscorer Phil Foden, who scored him 11 points as did Defender Matheus Nunes who assisted in the same game.

A great week for all of us Lions, with Morgan Rogers (15 points) scoring twice in the 3-2 win at West Ham United.

Troy also used a Bench Boost to good use, scoring 21 points from his 4 subs. Nearly all of these came from Chelsea Defender Malo Gusto, who scored and assisted in Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Everton. This scored him 18 points.

This moves the team up a couple of places to 11th on 898 points and very close to the top ten.

The 1K Club

George Procter’s Cash in Cash Out team unsurprisingly was the first to past 1k. The team scored 84 points to put his side on 1068 points and still out in front.

Aaron Basi’s Gangsters Allardyce stay second on 963 points with Jamie Stewart’s 1. FC McGinniesta team stays in 3rd place on 945 points. After dropping out of the top five last week,  Jack Stewart’s Serious Konsaquences and Benjamin King’s Accounts Playable return to the top five on 937 and 934 points respectively.

We move on now to the final Gameweek before Christmas. After this there will four game weeks before the 3rd round of FA Cup in the 2nd weekend of 2026. Follow the progress of the FPL on the website.
