In the Bedford Lions and Lionesses League, It was a different week for many but for one at the lower reaches of the table, a good one as he won the Manager of the week with an unusual team name! Plus the latest events at the top of there table.

Favourite Emery

We are at Bedford Lions are seeing a Villa team who have been consistent at the top reaches of the table with the mastermind coaching of Unai Emery.

In the FPL, he certainly popular with the players. Four teams have him as part of the name.

The lowest of the table so far, James Fairgrieve’s Behind Emery Lines topped the gameweek table with 65 points.

He scored 20 points with him getting all the scorers in the late Saturday game between Chelsea and Aston Villa. Joao Pedro put Chelsea ahead, scoring 8 points before Emery made changes in the 2nd half. Ollie Watkins came on and did what he does best, scoring. His two goals gave us a 2-1 win, scoring 12 points.

Another highlight for the team came from Tottenham Hotspur defenders Pedro Porro and Micky Van de Ven. 17 points between them in a 1-0 win at Crystal Palace.

There were also goals in the midfield from Liverpool’s Florian Wirtz (10 points) in their 2-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers and Manchester City Midfielder Tijjani Reijnders (8 points) getting the opening goal in their 2-1 win at Nottingham Forest.

James remains in 32nd place with 806 points and will be looking to push on. Lets all hope Watkins can get him some more points especially!

Not A Lot In It

George Procter’s Cash in Cash Out team is still clear at the top with 1177 points overall.

Aaron Basi’s Gangsters Allardyce remains in 2nd on 1081 points with Jamie Stewart’s 1. FC McGinniesta staying 3rd on 1059. A great week for Mark Stanyard’s Stanners FC team who climbed to 4th on 1058 points, after scoring 55 for the week.

There is not much in in though with just 6 points between 3rd and 8th place.
