Forescore- Match Stage 19

We have come to the halfway stage at the Bedford Lions Premier League. This was certainly a very tough week, with three goalless draws on New Year’s Day. We look at the man who wins the match day table twice on the spin plus the other events of the week.

Back to Back

Iain Stewart shared the honours with el_tel last match stage, with 61 points. This time, a score of 50 made him the commanding winner of a low scoring week.

His only perfect score came in the only game to kick off in 2026 that didn’t finished goalless- Fulham rescuing a 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace. He also resisted temptation of putting his joker on Man United in their 1-1 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers. Instead he puts on Newcastle United and they won 3-1 at Burnley.

He remains in 9th place on the overall table with 869 points but he is starting to close in on the three players immediately in front of him.

Sight Of Frost

Luke Frost had a very good week, not by scoring (35 in total this week) but opening up a lead over Param Basi, who by contrast only scored 3 points. Luke is the first player to past 1,000+ mark with 1012, with Param on 977 points.

Another solid enough week for me, now sees me just 10 points off Param in 3rd place. James moves back up to 4th on 937 points and is 10 clear of Jamie.

A full league table is below.

Two Forescore match stages to go before the 3rd round of FA Cup. Many will be hoping for a better return in the 1st weekend of 2026.
