Like the Forescore, this was a particularly very different week for the Managers In the Bedford Lions and Lionesses League. Just 50 points it took to win the team of the week but he is in form as the other events of the week will explain.
Making A Stand
After scoring 55 points to move into 4th position, just 50 was needed for Mark Stanyard’s Stanners FC team to win the team of the week.
The main source of points was from Arsenal defender Gabriel, who scored in the 4-1 win over Aston Villa. He scored 15 points in total although this wouldn’t have been the match we would like to see him score heavily.
Mark moves up to 3rd place on 1108 points. Is a title challenge on?!

Feeling The Pressure?
George Procter’s Cash in Cash Out team was surprisingly the lowest scoring team of the week, with just 23 points. He still leads at the top on 1200 points although some of the other contenders have closed the gap.
Aaron Basi’s Gangsters Allardyce remains in 2nd on 1120, just 12 ahead of Mark’s team. Jamie Stewart’s 1. FC McGinniesta dropped one place to 4th on 1101 with Paul Standard’s McGinn and Tonic team just 3 points behind in 5th.
The league is still pretty tight, so lots to play for!

We now enter the 2nd half of the season, which means all the chips will be active for 2nd part. There will be careful consideration to be needed but things are going to be interesting especially with our FPL Cup coming in the Spring. For now, many will be looking for better outcome this time in the first full gameweek of 2026. Follow the progress of the FPL on the website.
Deadline for gameweek 20 team selections is 11:00am on Saturday 3rd January.
