FPL- Gameweek 23

This week, there was a joint winner for the best team in the gameweek plus the other events of the table of the Bedford Lions and Lionesses.

Sharing The Prize

It was 63 points that won the best team of the week and this week it was shared. Ironically both team names have a player name that was linked to the Villa whilst the other has just left on loan!

A useful bench boost worked wonders for Sachin Thethy’s Marmoushy Peas, picking up 10 points. In his starting XI he benefitted from Manchester United’s return to form with goals from Patrick Dorgu (8 points) and Matheus Cunha (9 points) in their 3-2 win at Arsenal. There was another goal from Manchester City’s Antoine Semenyo (8 points) in their 2-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

This moves him up to 9th place with 1,260 and close behind the top 6 places.

The other winner this week was Dani Casey with her team Twistin My Malen Man. As well as having Semenyo in the team, there was also goals from Chelsea’s Joao Pedro (12 points) in there 3-1 win at Crystal Palace, Fulham’s Harry Wilson (10 points) scoring the winner in their 2-1 success over Brighton & Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur’s Micky van de Ven in their 2-2 draw at Burnley.

This puts the team up to 16th place on 1,228 points overall. Well done to both players.

Staying Put

No changes in the top 5, which sees George Procter’s Cash in Cash Out team slightly increase the gap on Aaron Basi’s Gangsters Allardyce to 79 points on 1,396. Paul Stanyard’s McGinn and Tonic is 3rd on 1,305 points, just 5 ahead of Mark Stanyard’s Stanners FC with Jack Stewart’s Serious Konsaquences staying 5th on 1,285 points.
