Gameweek 2

Bedford Lions and Lionesses mini league seen many teams this week get to 100+. We look at the best of them which was hugely influenced by one player.

Captain Bruno

Every gameweek at the FPL, there are always players who you have to think should be Captain. it’s tough like a Countdown Conundrum.

For many, the choice was Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes and it was the right choice. His hat-trick in the 5-2 win over Ipswich Town, gave though that captained him 46 points.

This included the team of the week which was Saechul Anam’s Baby Calm Down FC. He also had Manchester City’s Cherki (14) who scored twice in their 4-1 win at Crystal Palace and Chelsea’s Joao Pedro (9) scorer in their 4-3 win over Brighton & Hove Albion.

Like the Jake Downes the previous week, he used his Bench Boost chip which included a goal from Leeds United’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin (8) in their 1-1 draw with Brentford.

It was 13 points from the bench helping to an overall score of 115 points.

This moves the team up the table, a massive 10 places to 4th on 166 points. well played!

The Other Centurions

There were 8 players overall who scored 100+ (total in brackets) and all making the top 10 of the overall table.

Sachin Thethy’s 5 mins mayte (112) replaces Jake Downes’s Emerydaysaschoolday (101), taking a 12 point lead on 192 points with Matthew Laing’s Villa SCRamble (111) in third on 172 points. 

Iain Stewart’s Emery One’s A Winner (113) is joint 5th with Craig Havard’s Onana’s in Pyjamas (106) on 158 points. 

Finally James Fairgrieve’s Cheesy Garnachos (102) is 7th on 157 just 3 ahead of Stewart Churchward’s UT_Villan FPL (101) and Gareth Lewis’s NorthernVillain.

A strong week from most of the  players and a tightly contested League Table but still early days. We return for the first gameweek after the end of the Summer Transfer Window.
