In the Bedford Lions and Lionesses League, We review another player who team has benefited by using their bench boost plus we see some fresh faces entering the top five with some familiar ones dropping out.
Boosted
Last week David Ward’s team Gingerninja Villans topped the gameweek table by scoring 111 points. This was hugely helped by using a bench boost, scoring additional 21 points.
This week, Jack Stewart’s team Serious Consequences topped the gameweek table by scoring 77 points and he used his bench boost as well.
The starting XI didn’t have any real standout players scoring highly with Bournemouth’s Defender Adrien Truffert scoring the most, with 10 points in Bournemouth’s 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest.
His bench those was the heavy scorers, scoring a 36 points between 4 players and nearly 50% of his team’s overall score.
It included Bournemouth’s Goalkeeper Dorde Petrovic scoring 8 points, Aston Villa’s Matty Cash scoring the winner in a 1-0 win over Manchester City (15), Tottenham Hotspur’s Pedro Porro scoring 11 points in his side 3-0 win at Everton and Crystal Palace’s Ismaila Sarr grabbing a few points in his side 1-0 reverse at Arsenal.
This sees his side move up 5 places up the table and into the top 10, in 9th position with 526 points in total.
Will another chip help a winning player in gameweek 10?

Fresh Faces
George Procter’s Cash in Cash Out team continue to hold a steady lead at the top with 626 points.
However the main news at the top, was the chasing pack. This week sees 3 new faces entering the top 5. Benjamin King’s Accounts Playable moved up to 2nd with 547 points, two ahead of Jamie Stewart’s 1. FC McGinniesta who remains 3rd in the table. Luke O’Reilly’s NoSo Rampant Rovers moved up to 4th with 538 points, just 3 ahead of Aaron Basi’s Gangsters Allardyce.
The players dropping out of the top 5 are myself, Luke Perkins and Luke Frost. Still a lot can change, especially as there is only 16 points between 2nd and 8th in the table.

Some more tricky matches this week but lot more time to carefully consider options with the first games not starting till 3pm on Saturday. It’s becoming a rare as games getting played on Boxing Day!
Deadline for gameweek 10 team selections is 1:30pm on Saturday 1st November.
