In the Bedford Lions and Lionesses League, We review the highest scoring player who team has topped the league without using Erling Haaland as Captain! Plus the rest of the news for this week.
One In Ten
Yes, the leader of gameweek 10 with 87 points was Sachin Thethy’s team Marmoushy Peas.
The team had something unusual to most this week, no Haaland as Captain! Instead the armband went to Arsenal Centre Back Gabriel. His excellent performance and keeping out Burnley in their 2-0 win, scored 24 points.
Haaland did find the scoresheet after being found in Konsa’s pocket! He scored twice in Manchester City 3-1 win over Bournemouth, scoring 13 points. His other two strikers also found the net as Joao Pedro scored the winner in Chelsea 1-0 win at Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace’s Jean-Phillippe Mateta scored the first in their 2-0 home win over Brentford. They scored 9 points each as well as Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye who scored aa wonderful goal in their 1-1 draw at Sunderland.
This has seen his team up one place to 10th but creating a bit of gap of the teams below him and up closely with the sides above him.
